Put on Your Mask

Is it too much to ask
For you to put on a mask
Is it a time to be wanton or lax
Are you eager to pay that final tax

Have you not seen both great and small die
Even those who said Covid 19 is a lie
Heard stories of those who looked this sickness in the eye
Yet lived to see the rising of the sun in the sky

It is therefore left to you to make a choice
To hearken in haste unto reasons calm voice
And out of this slumber arise as one awake
To the truth that precious lives are indeed at stake

There is not much more that I can say
To mask up, social distance, is the clear way
Even as we steadfastly watch and pray
And live in hope for a brighter day

Shalom!!!
